Peppermint essential oil would be good. You can also try lemon (a study in Japan showed this to help concentration), rosemary, grapefruit or ginger. Also make sure you are drinking enough water - being dehydrated can make you feel tired too.

Definitely Peppermint essential oil that will wake up your senses, as well as eucalyptus essential oil! Give them a try individually.

Suck on a peppermint or eat an apple, the crunching of the apple is supposed to "wake up " your brain.

I prefer the aroma of a latte! That always perks me up! lol! If that is not available, I find that sucking on a peppermint (that also gets rid of coffee breath) helps a bit.
