Well if it was the same medication for the 12 month period, obviously it was not the right one. There are literally hundreds out there, and there may be one that does work. Hypnotherapy has helped some, but it rarely lasts, meaning you have to go back again and again, and that gets expensive, it's more of a bandaid than really addressing the issues that are causing your depression, for that you need mental health therapy. Medication only helps you think more clearly, therapy helps you deal with and rid yourself of the causes of the depression. So, it really is a twofold approach, meds AND therapy to rid oneself of clinical depression. |

I advise you to try hipnotherapy, cause is very good on your case. I have depression too and I'll see a hypnotherapist next week some people tell me is the best alternative. Well,I'll try. And U ? |

You must be very persistent with your doctor. If something isn't working tell him that is what he is being paid for. And if it isn't working your not bothering him , hes not doing he job until your better. For many people counseling would be beneficial if your from uk this should be covered by the NHS if your not then i don't know how it will work. But talking about your issues and problems do help. A lot of the time the key success is mixture of treatments so keep taking the medication. You may also want to see your doctor about strong medication. If all this fails try a new doctor. One doctor only knows so much about certain issues maybe another doctor would of had more experience with this. I hope this helps you , and merry christmas!!! lol |

I have had clinical depression for many years, have been on medication & nothing helped. then all of a sudden a read an article that if you add a B-vitamin & Folic acid it helps. You know what ? I did & I can't even begin to tell you just how much it has helped me. Then I forget to take it for awhile & sure enough I got back down again. You get a B-complex vitamin then you get an extra bottle of Folic Acid 400 mcg's & I take 2 a day (that's what was recommended) & the difference is remarkable. Good luck it's worth a try. |
